I have been a feature writer at Suite101.com since 2006 and have over 350 articles published there (I now have my own url http://john-blatchford.suite101.com/  where you can see my full profile, read my articles or look at my topic area (Marine Biology & Oceanography).

Six of my Suite101 articles about marine biology fieldwork, and four about whales are presented here as examples of typical article length and style.
  • I hold the copyright for these articles, and any that have been on Suite101 for more than one year can be re-used elsewhere on the net (with my express permission in writing - see copyright details).
  • Any article can be used in print (again with my permission) – but since they were originally produced for the internet most would need a degree of re-writing.  I would be prepared to do this if a suitable fee could be agreed.
  • It would be possible to use a set of articles (on a particular group of animals or a specific topic) and link them together – either online or in print.  Again I would be prepared to undertake this if a fee could be agreed.
